This course is based on the book, Lessons in Truth written by Dr. H. Emille Cady. Written on request of Charles Fillmore, the book was first presented as a series of lessons written for Unity Magazine and first appeared in 1894.
Dr. Cady's wonderful yet purposeful approach to the subject offers the student primary insight to practical decisions we must each address to experience a thriving quality of life.
In this course the student will study the foundational premises of Christianity through the eyes and mind of Charles Fillmore. The course is based on his book "Talks on Truth" a seminal work for the Conference on Practical Christianity.
The student taking this course will learn about the growth and evolution of Christian Theology. This knowledge will enable the student to then better understand the birth and growth of Practical Christianity. The knowledge gained is useful in the individual journey and in teaching others.
In this course the student will study the derivation of the Christ Idea and it's history throughout the Bible. The student is required to write an essay on what they have learned and how the Christ can enable them in their present spiritual journey.
This intensive study of the Gospel of Thomas provides the student with insight to the nature of the "Christ Within" and the essence of the oneness of all that is. The student will have a deeper understanding of Unity Principle #2.
