The objective of this study is to strengthen and grow the meditation and prayer life of the student. The course focuses on the writings of Thomas Keating, addressing the following aspects of prayer and meditation: 1) Open Mind Open Heart, 2) Invitation To Love, and 3) The Mystery of Christ.

This course introduces the student to a variety of meditation practices in order to familiarize him/her with possible alternatives. The objective of the course is to provide the individual with alternatives that can be practiced based on individual prefeerence and need.

Centering Prayer is an attempt to renew the Christian contemplative tradition by drawing on the insights of the great Christian writers down through the centuries. This course provides the student with the rich knowledge that enables him/her to lead a contemplative life.
